Hi there! My name is Alyssa Szatny, and I am a tattooer and illustrator working out of Long Beach, New York. Kindred Spirits tattoo studio is about being comfortable, creative, and partnered by the soul. I like to describe my art style as illustrative blackwork, but love to bring a realistic aspect to my designs as well. I’ve always had a deep love for people, antiques, nature, and historical figures. I’m also open to working in color because painting in color was my first love. Aside from tattooing my passions include traveling, binge watching Gilmore Girls, decorating my living space and studio, and spending time with friends and family.

I attended FIT in NYC for illustration and minored in English and American History. during my time at school, I focused on oil portraits. In August 2019 I opened MY own private studio called Kindred Spirits Tattoo. It was always MY dream to have a welcoming space where I could surround MYself with the things I love most, and offer a comfortable environment for my clients that have always been so supportive and wonderful to me. The meaning behind the name of My studio comes from my favorite book series growing up, Anne of Green Gables.
