Frequently Asked Questions

Where do you work?

I work in Long Beach, New York. Once your appointment is scheduled you will receive the address and directions. I choose to keep my address private in order to keep it a safe space for myself and my clients.

WHAT DO YOU CHARGE?

I always charge by the hour($250) unless it is a piece from my available flash designs, which are always priced at a flat rate.

DO YOU DRAW UP DESIGNS AHEAD OF TIME?

No! I always draw in order of appointment, which means I draw either a night or two before my scheduled appointment. By doing things this way I am able to focus entirely on your tattoo and make the best use of my time. Drawings are always ready when you come in. Any small changes that need to be made can be adjusted at the time of your appointment.

DEPOSITS!

I ALLOW ONE RESCHEDULE UP TO 5 days BEFORE YOUR SCHEDULED APPOINTMENT TIME. RESCHEDULING WITHIN A SHORTER TIME FRAME OR RESCHEDULING FOR A SECOND TIME WILL FORFEIT YOUR INITIAL DEPOSIT. IF ON THE DAY OF YOUR APPOINTMENT YOU ARE GOING TO ARRIVE MORE THAN 20 MINUTES LATE, I RESERVE THE RIGHT TO WITHHOLD YOUR DEPOSIT AND CANCEL FOR THE DAY. AS I LIKELY HAVE MULTIPLE APPOINTMENTS SCHEDULED EACH DAY, THIS ENSURES THAT I CAN PROVIDE ALL OF MY CLIENTS WITH THE TIME AND QUALITY OF WORK THAT THEY DESERVE.

Do you accept tips?

tipping is industry standard and though it’s encouraged and appreciated, it is not required. Anything between 15-30% is standard but whatever you are COMFORTABLE with is very much APPRECIATED. THOUGH I AM NOT GIVING A PERCENTAGE TO A SHOP, I RUN MY STUDIO ON MY OWN, COVER ALL MY SUPPLY COSTS, AND PAY RENT FOR MY SPACE. I TAKE SPECIAL CARE AND TIME PREPARING FOR YOUR TATTOOS.

do you ever do conventions or guest spots?

Yes I do! Upcoming guest spots and conventions will always be posted in my newsletter, and will also be announced on my Instagram. Feel free to send me an email if you would like me to come visit your area. I’m always taking that into account when planning my travels!

DO YOU EVER TURN DOWN APPOINTMENT INQUIRIES AND WHY?

I definitely say no to some ideas, and it’s never personal! I tend to want to work on larger pieces with concepts more geared to my interests such as illustrative realism, botanicals, portraits, whimsical and historical figures. Sometimes I just think I’m not the right gal for your tattoo, and will do my best to point you in the direction of another fantastic artist.

Touch Ups/Healed tattoos

Touch ups are offered as a free service within a year’s time of your appointment. I always ask that you send me healed pictures of your tattoo because I truly care about how all of my tattoos heal. Typically I like to see a healed picture anywhere from a month to 3 months after your original appointment. I use these photos to determine if anything needs to be gone over or touched up at this time. If you are concerned about how your piece healed or are wondering if you might need a touch up, I ask that you bring it to my attention within a year’s time. If i do not feel that a touch up is necessary, if your tattoo is older than one year or if you simply want to “ADD” to a pre-existing piece, you will be charged a shop setup fee from $50 to $100. Remember that tattoos do not stay as vibrant as they are on the day you get them, and natural healing and fading is completely normal and part of the beauty of your tattoo.
